Job Description:

Are you an experienced vet looking for a supportive, innovative, and high-standard hospital environment? We are seeking a confident, self-sufficient GP Veterinary Surgeon to join a dynamic team. This is a rare opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art hospital with a strong ethos of mentorship, clinical excellence, and genuine work-life balance.

Salary – up to £65,000
The exact salary within this banding will be awarded commensurate on experience.

* Established: 15 years, with a reputation for clinical excellence and innovation
* Facilities: 7 consult rooms (including cat-only and end-of-life suites), 4 theatres (state-of-the-art dental suite, advanced imaging, laparoscopy, endoscopy, visiting CT)
* Culture: Open, supportive, non-hierarchical, and values-driven. They prioritise staff well-being, learning, and progression.
* Clients: Diverse, loyal, and engaged; they are a centre for charity work and work closely with local animal welfare organisations.
* Location: Outskirts, easy access from main roads, ample on-site parking.


Your Role

* Hours: 4 days per week (35 hours), fixed rota, 1 weekday off, no sole charge
* Weekends: 1:4 calculated into 4-day week, no additional time off in lieu
* OOH: In-house, providing out-of-hours and referral for other practices in the region
* Caseload: Exceptionally varied – from routine to advanced referral (liver shunts, orthopaedics, laparoscopy, ECC, dentistry, soft tissue)
* Support: Highly qualified nursing team, multi-certificate holders, accredited coaches, mental health officers
