About The Role

Become part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years! Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Records Discipline Lead (Electrical) on the Hinkley Point Project and develop with this amazing project.

The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UK’s move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.


What you'll be doing

* Be the single point of contact for specific records.
* Technical expert liaison with MEH Alliance Site and Assurance Leads
* Interface with MEH completions team
* Ensuring discipline specific records (site wide) are captured in a timely manner, perform technical reviews & address issues to support Area LTQR (Life time quality records) Coordinators processing area discipline LTQR deliverables.
* Be responsible for Area Discipline LODs management, tracking asset installation and record verification and completion.
* To be familiar with the scope of work, the contract specifications and appropriate Nuclear Standards, the drawings and procedures.
* Verify and track task completion upon A-acceptance.


Who we're looking for

* Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience beneficial
* NVQ or SVQ Level 3 (Gold JIB) Electrical Grade Card 2
* Experience working in a quality assurance/control environment within the nuclear industry or other relevant safety critical industry.
* Proven experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment.
* Ability to gain a security clearance.
