ROLE OVERVIEW Be the link between the Derivia commercial finance team and the R2R accounting team (part of Delinian’s Global Finance Operations team based in Sofia, Bulgaria) in validation and integrity of the month end accounts. Proactively partner with the R2R team to produce on time, high quality month End deliverables including Month End commentary packs and analysis for board reporting. Support the Derivia commercial finance team in managing the annual Budget process, modelling the budget files and delivering high quality budget presentations. Pro-actively analyse trends in the P&L to identify key areas of risk and opportunity. Support Derivia commercial finance team in carrying out financial due diligence on any potential strategic project and provide relevant analysis to assist decision making. Build robust reproducible templates that can be adapted and leveraged across multiple scenarios to analyse results and financial performance. The role will require the candidate to proactively collaborate across the wider company, including other divisions and regional teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure departmental cost accruals are accurate ahead of month end reviews – notably sales commissions, marketing, software & technology, data provider and contractors. Analyse monthly revenue by customer to ensure alignment with contracted subscription business (closed won on Salesforce) – key month on month variance analysis – identifying pending, net upsell, churn and new business. Analyse Events and Awards GM P&L’s – to capture all contracted events/awards business (closed won on Salesforce) and all cost accruals are captured and signed off with operations providing accurate results. Ensure month end revenue and cost files are prepared with the Global Finance Hub team (Bulgaria) and ready for review with finance business partner for sign off prior to WD3. Preparing monthly KPI’s for inclusion in month end board slides and ready for review with finance business partner for sign off prior to WD5. This covers net sales growth metrics (churn, yield, new business), P&L analysis and cost waterfalls. Reviewing payroll reconciliations for the month – analyse monthly movements (starters, leavers and vacancies) and bridge items against budgets/forecast projections. Playing a key role in the budget/forecast process – building revenue and cost projections at the granular detail and uploading the assumptions into Onestream (budget reporting tool). Taking the lead on follow up P&L/Balance sheet queries post month end and resolving for the following month end cycle. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Education / Qualifications / Work experience Experience in a commercial / FP&A role ideally in a PE backed company (not essential but beneficial). Experience in subscription-based modelling and ARR metrics (churn, NRR, GRR and upsell) is desirable. Technical competence in finance systems, modelling, strong excel skills (V-look up, sumifs, pivots). Part / qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) and strong academics in a relevant degree. Onestream, Netsuite and Salesforce experience is desirable. Competencies (Knowledge & Skills) Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to gather financial data from multiple sources, condense, analyse and interpret. Proficient Excel skills, comfortable using PowerPoint and confident at presenting. Attention to detail and ability to analyse complex data sets and explain them clearly and concisely. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines. Ability to work in complex groups and group structures ATTRIBUTES Proactive team player with strong work ethic. Flexible “Can do” solution orientated attitude. Take initiative and confidence to engage with other parts of the business as and when necessary. Eager to learn and develop.
