Are you a recent graduate looking to kick-start your career in geotechnical engineering with a talented consultancy in the South Yorkshire area?
We are working with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Sheffield that is looking to bring on a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to support their expanding ground investigation and design team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of projects, with full training and support towards chartership.
The Role
As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, you will be involved in both site and office-based work, giving you a well-rounded start to your career.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with ground investigations (boreholes, trial pits, sampling)
Logging soil and rock in accordance with UK standards
Supporting geotechnical design (foundations, slopes, retaining structures)
Preparing factual and interpretative reports
Carrying out desk studies and risk assessments
Liaising with clients, contractors, and the wider engineering team
Requirements
Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering or similar
Strong interest in ground engineering and site work
Full UK driving licence
Good communication and report writing skills
