Job summary
Applications are invited for consultants with a special interest in respiratory medicine to join an existing team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We will consider full time or part time posts. The DCC work will include the assessment and management of patients with a range of respiratory disease within in-patient and out-patient settings, general medical on call and clinical administration associated with this.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have personal responsibility for the care of general and specialist respiratory inpatients and outpatients, and an equal share in acute unselected medical take. They will take responsibility for supervision of those doctors to whom the care is delegated, working within the multi-professional respiratory team, and working to maintain the friendly collaborative culture of this team.

Qualification and Training:
1. Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC)
2. Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
3. Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT
4. MRCP or equivalent
Clinical Experience and Effectiveness:
5. Evidence of participation in relevant audit projects.
6. Evidence of understanding of and participation in quality improvement activity.
7. Participation in and understanding of clinical governance
8. Evidence of an ability to participate in and contribute to in multidisciplinary teams.
Management and Administrative:
