Are you an experienced Access and Security solutions Business Development Manager based in the North and Northeast, looking for your next sales role? This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic global security systems manufacturer on a rapid growth trajectory.
A worldwide manufacturer specialising in security systems are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to be responsible for promoting the company's full spectrum of security products, managing the North and Northeast region. The company has established a strong presence in the region, and is set to surpass its past performances. Despite existing positive relationships and partnerships, there is significant untapped potential for expanding the current turnover. This position will also require the salesperson to maintain strong relationships and consistent communication with the company's regional distribution partners, which will involve keeping them informed about new and current product offerings.
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Increase sales within the North and Northeast region by engaging with both existing and potential customers, and actively seeking out business opportunities in the security industry.
2. Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, delivering consistent high-level support, and create personalised account management plans for key clients.
3. Meet and uphold designated KPI targets, and collaborate with the Sales Director to craft long-term business strategies.
4. Record all relevant information in the company's agreed ERP/CRM system, and follow up on customer quotes and update the provided CRM system.
5. Direct new product ideas and solutions to Product Development via UK management.
6. Assist the company's specification team with project-related information.
7. Develop strategies to surpass individual targets.
8. Acquire a comprehensive understanding of competitor products and strategies.
The ideal Business Development Manager will have the following skills and experience:
9. Hold a minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in field sales/technical function, selling access and/or physical security and IOT enabled devices.
10. Be experienced in Business-to-Business sales, ideally gained within the security controls industry.
11. Have good knowledge of security products and the market.
12. Have completed formal sales training.
13. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Teams.
14. Completion of education to GCSE level (achieving a minimum of 5 GCSE's) or its equivalent.
