Teaching Assistant
Location: London (E16)
Salary: £27,990 FTE (£25,534.17 Pro Rata)
Contract: Full Time (37 hours per week) Term Time Only (41 weeks)
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a highly collaborative team, assisting in the provision and delivery of a high-quality curriculum. You will support improvements in performance and help enhance outcomes in learner engagement, achievement, and progression.
Teaching Assistant – What you’ll be doing..
* Work with individuals and groups of students, assisting in ensuring students remain on task and complete activities set by the teacher.
* Support the management of behavioural and special educational needs in collaboration with the teacher.
* Assist in implementing lesson plans, aims, and content alongside the teacher.
* Provide feedback to students to support their learning and progress.
* Lead small groups of students in defined learning activities.
* Provide individual student and group mentoring as required.
* Deliver SEN interventions
* Ensure learner files and records are kept up to date.
* Adherence to safeguarding, child protection, health & safety and data protection policies.
* In conjunction with the teacher, liaise with parents on student progress.

Teaching Assistant – What we’re looking for..
* Ability to work at a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths.
* Experience of teaching children with Education Health Care
* Knowledge of the statutory requirements of health and safety, SEN & safeguarding of children.
* Ability to work with challenging students, understand their needs and demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies as and when required.
* Commitment to raising the levels of achievement of children of all abilities
* Relevant professional Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
* Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification (desirable)
* Level 2 Teaching Qualification (PTTLS or equivalent) (desirable)
