Due to continued growth, we have a requirement for a Planner for our Southern Region for schemes around the Kent and Sussex areas.
The successful planner will ideally come from a site background as this role involves using your site experience to provide support to site teams, find solutions to engineering problems, and ensure project programmes are current, consistent, and accurate through regular interface with site management and regional teams. The primary responsibility is to prepare and communicate project programmes and manage changes in accordance with NEC contract requirements.
Main Duties for the Planner
* Review project programmes monthly, ensuring changes are captured and recorded.
* Update programmes regularly to meet contractual requirements, including as-built records and progress tracking.
* Review two-week look-ahead programmes.
* Assess site records, contractual notices, and communications related to programme matters.
* Ensure programme submissions and acceptance comply with contractual obligations.
* Review project change register alongside works delivered and contractual documentation.
* Review and manage the project risk and opportunities register.
* Assist the site team in protecting programme entitlement and facilitate EOT claims.
* Collaborate closely with Contracts Managers to meet delivery targets.
* Provide advice on planning, methods, and engineering solutions.
* Support project teams and communicate with clients to recover change.
* Assist in developing processes and systems for project planning and control.
The ideal candidate will have extensive civil engineering site experience, possibly at Senior Engineer or Sub Agent level, with planning expertise and an interest in focusing on this technical role.
The Successful Applicant Will Have
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience with MS Project, Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6
* NEC Contract experience
