Job Description:
We are looking to recruit an Environmental DNA Business Development Manager who will be responsible for leading sales and marketing activities, identifying and engaging customers, securing commitments, and generating new profitable revenues within the Environmental DNA (eDNA) sector. This is a new, revenue-focused, business development/sales role with a blend of working from home and visiting customers and SGS laboratories across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and analyze competitors.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
* Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with revenue growth goals.
* Drive sales efforts, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet revenue targets.
* Engage in networking through industry events and conferences to expand SGS's reach and collaborate across teams.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the eDNA market or a similar sector, with a strong sales focus and a drive to secure new business.
* Ecology qualification or similar
* Experience in a technical B2B environment, preferably with public sector procurement experience
* Ability to train in Europe
* Full clean UK driving licence
