Interim Finance Project ConsultantLocation: Reading with hybrid workingDuration: 3 months - Part-time or full-timeReporting to: CFOStart date: ASAP
We are looking for a capable and proactive finance professional to support the CFO with a number of important finance and governance-related projects during a busy period.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Audit Review Support:Help coordinate a review of the organisation's current external audit firm, supporting a tender process and gathering insights for recommendation.
* Investment Review:Assist in assessing the performance and suitability of the organisation's current investment manager (responsible for c.£5 million of assets), gathering data, and comparing alternatives.
* Pension Provision Review:Support a review of pension arrangements, processes, and governance. Help identify any areas where improvements or updates may be needed.
* Operations System & Finance Interface:Work with stakeholders to understand how a newly implemented operations system may be affecting financial controls and reporting processes.
Candidate Profile
* Finance background - qualified accountant from an SME or charity background
* Comfortable working independently with direction from the CFO
* Good organisational and analytical skills
* Experience in finance, audit, or investment processes is desirable
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear summaries and reports
