Trainee / Graduate Civil Engineer

We're looking for a motivated Trainee or Graduate Civil Engineer to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline) who's keen to learn, gain hands‑on experience, and grow into a professional engineer.
You'll work closely with their Senior Engineer and project teams, gaining exposure to all aspects of civil engineering projects across the infrastructure and environmental sectors — from initial scoping through to on‑site delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assist with project scoping - visiting sites, assessing conditions, and gathering key information.
* Capture site data - taking accurate photos, notes, and measurements for project documentation.
* Support quality assurance - help prepare and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection and Performance Reports (IPRs).
* Collaborate with the engineering team - report findings, discuss technical solutions, and contribute to project progress.
* Split your time 50/50 between the East Kilbride office and various sites across Scotland (a full driving licence is necessary).
What We're Looking For
* A recent graduate or trainee with an HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering (or similar).
* A genuine interest in infrastructure and environmental engineering.
* A keen eye for detail, enthusiasm to learn, and a proactive attitude.
* Basic understanding of civil engineering principles (training will be provided).
* Ability to travel to sites as required.
