Job Summary
Celtic Bakers Ltd is one of London's leading craft bakeries. We are proud to be a BRC-accredited bakery supplying the best hand-crafted breads and pastries across an array of customers in foodservice, retail and private label. We are seeking passionate bakers to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing baked goods such as sourdough, ciabatta and brioche primarily by hand.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce doughs and baked goods in accordance with agreed recipes, specifications, and production schedules.
* Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients, ensuring consistency, quality, and minimal waste.
* Shape, mould, roll, and prepare doughs using both manual techniques and bakery equipment.
* Check that correct quantities are produced for each order and take action to resolve shortfalls or quality issues.
* Ensure products meet company quality standards before being released for packing or dispatch.
* Monitor production processes and make appropriate adjustments to maintain quality, efficiency, and output.
* Read, understand, and follow production lists, recipes, and work instructions accurately.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation within the bakery.
* Comply fully with food safety, allergen, and health & safety policies and procedures.
* Identify and report equipment faults, ingredient issues, or process concerns to the Head Baker or relevant manager.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process or quality enhancements.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Baker (desirable but not essential).
* Shifts available - 13:00 - 21:00, 05:00 - 13:00 and 00:00 - 08:00.
* Passion for handcrafted baking and attention to detail.
* Team player with good communication skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced yet quality-driven environment.
