The Role will be over three days seven hours per day 9:30pm to 5pm with half an hour break.
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Activities Director to join our team at Clairleigh Nursing Home in Bromley. In this vital role, you will coordinate engaging activities that promote well-being and social interaction among our residents, supporting our mission to deliver compassionate and holistic senior care.
Responsibilities
* Plan, develop, and implement a diverse activities program tailored to residents' interests and needs.
* Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all residents.
* Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into individual care plans.
* Organize special events, outings, and recreational activities.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback.
* Promote a positive atmosphere that enhances residents' overall experience.
* Support residents in maintaining their independence and social connections.
* Qualifications
* Proven experience in activity coordination within a nursing home or senior care setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to create engaging and inclusive activity programs.
* Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care is highly desirable.
* Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in improving residents' quality of life.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Relevant certifications in activity planning or senior care preferred.
