Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to work as part of the General Surgery and Acute Intensive Care Therapy team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

You will work as an inter-disciplinary Rehabilitation Assistant supporting the role of all members of the team to ensure high quality patient-focused care to inpatients who may have complex acute rehabilitation needs post surgery or AICU. * Assisting the physiotherapists with the more complex patients.

* Working with the wider multidisciplinary team, attending handovers and feeding information into and back from to the therapy team.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, their families and the multidisciplinary team.
* Be able to motivate and encourage patients with their therapy, and also have an empathetic nature.
* Administrative tasks and equipment management, including note writing, data collection for audit purposes, and good general IT skills.
