We're working with a specialist SEND school seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least one year's experience supporting children or young people with additional needs who is ready for their next challenge.
You'll be supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.
What you'll be doing
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Helping children access learning in a way that works for them
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Assisting with personal care and mobility support where required
Working closely with teachers, therapists and specialist staff
Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
What we're looking for
✔ Minimum 1 year of SEND experience
✔ Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
✔ A patient, calm and resilient approach
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✔ A genuine passion for helping children thrive
