Role Summary
As 3PL Warehouse Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods while delivering exceptional service to clients. You will play a key role in managing people, optimising processes, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily receiving, unloading, and put-away of incoming goods, as well as the picking, packing, and dispatching of orders in a timely and accurate manner.
* Maintain accurate stock records through regular cycle counts, stock takes using CargoWise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) effectively. This also involves investigating and resolving any discrepancies quickly.
* Plan and allocate labour, equipment, and warehouse space effectively to respond to fluctuating client demands and operational peaks.
* Manage the end-to-end process for returned goods, including inspection, restocking, and reporting, in line with client agreements.
* Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures to ensure that products are stored and handled correctly, minimizing damage and errors.
* Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of all warehouse staff, from operatives to team leaders.
* Set clear objectives, deliver regular feedback, and performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities to foster a high-performing team.
* Work closely with the H&S Manager to uphold strict adherence health and safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
* Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes teamwork, open communication, and employee morale.
* Act as the main liaison for 3PL clients, providing regular updates on operational performance, and promptly addressing any queries or concerns.
* Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with the agreed-upon SLAs, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Produce and present regular reports to clients on inventory levels, order accuracy, on-time dispatch, and other relevant metrics.
* Lead the operational onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth integration into the warehouse operations.
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and processes to improve operational efficiency without compromising service quality.
* Regularly review and improve warehouse processes and workflows to enhance productivity and accuracy.
* Collaborate with the IT Team to identify and recommend new technologies and systems (e.g., WMS upgrades, automation) to improve operational efficiency.
* Define and track relevant KPIs to measure and drive performance across all areas of the warehouse operation.
* Contribute to the development of the overall site and business strategy, including capacity planning and resource forecasting.
Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
·Proven experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally within a 3PL environment.
·Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams
·Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), preferably CargoWise
·Knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance
·Track record of improving operational efficiency and meeting KPIs
·Effective people management and coaching abilities
·Strong organisational and planning skills
·Excellent communication and client relationship skills
·Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
·Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
