Our client, a full-service law firm is seeking to recruit a Front of House Assistant based in their Glasgow office.
In this role you will act as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers essentially the face and voice of the firm. The role combines reception, client service, and administrative support, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for everyone who interacts with the firm.
What you’ll do
* Carry out general dispatch duties, including deliveries and collections
* Open, sort, and distribute all incoming and internal mail
* Collect outgoing post at scheduled times throughout the day
* Provide messenger support as required
* Copy, scan, and handle documents accurately and efficiently
* Support general switchboard and reception operations
* Book and coordinate meeting rooms to ensure smooth scheduling
* Maintain and organise archives, including files, wills, powers of attorney, and titles, liaising with Iron Mountain where necessary
* You may be required to travel to the Edinburgh office occasionally to provide holiday or sickness cover, with all arrangements agreed in advance
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the manager
What you’ll need
* Previous experience working in an office environment, ideally within a law firm or professional services setting
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
* Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
* Confident PC skills, including the ability to access and use internal systems, databases, and online resources
* A proactive and organised approach, with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service as part of a team
