 
        
        The Role
The Electrical Production Engineer will provide technical support across production teams, with a focus on electrical systems, machine testing, and process improvements. The role will involve hands-on problem solving, electrical validation, preparation of technical documents, and supporting service and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities
 1. Provide technical support for production teams on electrical systems
 2. Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and line stoppages to minimise downtime
 3. Electrically test and validate new machine options, including functional checks
 4. Prepare modification requests for electrical circuits and loom harness design changes
 5. Produce electrical assembly process documents and check sheets
 6. Test and evaluate new machines, ensuring functionality and compliance
 7. Specify, design, and commission test rigs
 8. Identify risks and implement safety improvements
 9. Provide technical support to Service and Quality Assurance departments
Person Specification
Essential:
 10. Apprentice-trained in electrical engineering discipline
 11. Qualified Electrical Engineer with 18th Edition and HNC (Electrical Engineering)
 12. Strong industrial electrical experience
 13. IT literate (Microsoft Office packages)
 14. Good communication and time management skills
 15. Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles
 16. Team player, able to work with colleagues at all levels
Desirable:
 17. Knowledge of PLCs and inverter drive systems
 18. Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit drawings and ladder diagrams
 19. Fault-finding experience using diagnostics, I/O, and PLCs
 20. Understanding of health & safety, risk assessment, and compliance requirements
 21. Knowledge of electrical inspection and testing methods
 22. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support fault finding
 23. Project planning and process improvement skills
 24. Ability to operate CNC machinery
