At Tarmac, we are looking for an Accountant to join the team based at our T3 Head Office in Solihull About the Role As the Accountant, you willsupportthe Assistant Manager in partnering with key business stakeholders on specific focus area. Your role will also include contributing to the provision and reporting of effective financial information and management accounting at each month end and through the month as required. Your responsibilities in this role will include (not exhaustive) The preparation of and posting of journals Supportingthe assistant manager as part of the team delivering the month end close Completing high-quality balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with guidelines and timetables Working closely with business unit finance teams; ensuring fullunderstandingand documentation of any balances and timely resolution of any issues, including managing expectation of any P&L impact Being a key player in the management and review of certain Sox control processes Play a key role in quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews with business unit finance Prepare reporting as required for own area of focus including quarterly financial reporting Reviewing journals and balance sheet reconciliations Supportingboth internal and external audits SupportAssistant Manager with cross team working across R2R and SSC as required including any inputs required to Statutory Accounts or Tax processes What we are looking for Someone who is friendly and professional Is able to deal with large quantities of complex data Microsoft Excel skills are essential for this role Goodunderstandingof accounting principles Able to make balanced decisions Good knowledge of accounting and financial systems Able to work to tight deadlines and able to escalate issuesconfidently Attention to detail Why Tarmac We don't just offer a job, we offer a career.
