Job Summary:
Voyagerr is recruiting an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys working broadly across finance — from day-to-day accounting and AP/AR to quarter-end closings, project and contract follow-up, and financial risk awareness. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and act as a key operational partner to the wider business, helping ensure that reporting is correct, risks are understood, and financial obligations are managed proactively.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, well suited to someone who likes structure, ownership, and visibility into how the business operates. With a solution-oriented approach to continuously improving finance operations across the organization, you will thrive in this role.
Your mission is to ensure that Voyagerr's accounting, reporting, and contract-related financial processes are accurate, compliant, and well-controlled — while supporting the business with reliable financial insight and proactive risk awareness.
Job Description:
As Senior Accountant, you will collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and work across internal stakeholders to ensure that financial data, reporting, and contractual obligations are handled consistently and correctly. You will balance recurring accounting tasks with more complex responsibilities related to project accounting, contract monitoring, and quarter-end activities.
This role requires both attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.
Role scope & accountability
You will be responsible for:
* End-to-end general ledger accounting, including prepaid expenses, accruals, and provisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and IFRS
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations (GL, bank, and balance sheet), including review and follow-up of reconciling items
* Management and reconciliation of the Work in Progress (WIP) register, supporting revenue recognition in line with IFRS and established accounting policies
* Collection, review, and validation of data for monthly invoicing, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and appropriate authorization
* Contract and project financial management, including monitoring contractual terms, indexation, risks, and compliance to mitigate penalties and financial exposure
* Accounts receivable oversight, including monitoring overdue balances and supporting collection activities
* Accounts payable management, including invoice processing and payment transactions in line with approval flows and internal controls
* Fixed asset accounting, including IFRS 16 lease accounting, capitalization, and depreciation
* Liquidity and cash-flow monitoring and reporting
* Preparation and submission of VAT filings in accordance with applicable regulations and internal review requirements
What makes you a strong fit
* Established experience in accounting, in an international or project-based environment.
* Experience of working with multiple countries accounting
* An academic degree- similar to a bachelor's degree or higher
* Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and IFRS
* Experience working with AP/AR, reconciliations, and closing activities
* Comfort working with project accounting, contracts, or long-term agreements
* Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
* Fluent in written and spoken English (additional language skills, especially Swedish, French or German are meritorious)
How you work
You are structured, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities. You work independently but value collaboration and understand how your role connects to the wider business. You enjoy bringing clarity to complex situations and take pride in delivering accurate, well-reasoned financial output.
What we offer
This is a broad and responsible accounting role within an international company, offering close collaboration with the Finance Manager and the bigger finance community within Modaxo Europe. You will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise, expand your understanding of project and contract-based finance, and contribute meaningfully to the financial stability and risk management of the business.
