We’re looking for an experienced Chief of Staff to act as a trusted advisor to our Money CEO. In this pivotal role, you’ll be a thought partner to the CEO and the leadership team but also a doer, a facilitator, and a connector - each one of those components at different times.
You’ll be a critical friend and sounding board to the Money CEO and the Money Leadership Team on all aspects of the Business. You’ll own the key CEO deliverables (including preparing CEO briefings, Board papers and leadership updates), driving accountability for key initiatives, ensuring progress against strategic goals through monitoring KPI and performance metrics, and aligning the right people at the right time to enable delivery.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be an experienced business leader in a regulated environment who wants the opportunity to operate across an end-to-end business. You will have exceptional influencing, communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll bring strategic thinking, sound judgement and a problem-solving mindset, along with proven experience supporting an Executive in a similar role.
What you’ll be doing
As Chief of Staff, you’ll be the connector who translates information and connects the dots across the Money teams, helping people see how their work and goals roll up to the larger mission of the Business. This includes leading the operating cadence for Money to facilitate leadership team effectiveness and maximise efficiency of the Money decision making process.
The roles needs:
1. A versatile team player who pivots and adjusts back and forth between attention to detail and big picture vision to meet the needs of the team - specifically figuring out how to support and augment what everyone is doing individually and collectively.
2. A 'Doer' who will roll up their sleeves and do the work of being a facilitator (where required) across functions.
3. A ‘driver of change’ who will ensure initiatives are delivered and goals are executed to achieve the corporate plan within risk appetite.
4. An innovator who brings in new thinking, different perspectives and challenge the status quo.
5. A liaison between the CEO and key internal and external stakeholders.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be or have:
6. Proven experience in a similar role, such as business management or an executive role, with a commercial, finance or marketing background
7. Customer focused with a strong commercial acumen
8. Strong relationship building to create synergy and team alignment
9. An Agile delivery mindset, focused on developing creative solutions and leading with learning
10. Strong project and change management skills, including goal-setting, critical thinking and forward-planning
11. Extensive knowledge of the Financial Services industry, governance and regulatory framework required to operate effectively and compliantly
12. Knowledge of financial forecasting, planning, and cost management
13. Experience dealing and influencing senior executives and third parties
14. Experience in organising and directing multiple teams and departments, planning and leading strategic initiatives
