About the School: The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for approximately 85 pupils with complex and severe learning needs, each with an Education, Health, and Care Plan. The school is dedicated to delivering a specialist education that empowers all children to achieve their full potential, developing academic, functional, and independent skills. With state-of-the-art facilities, including specialist resource areas, a hydrotherapy pool, a sensory room, and a soft play room, it\'s an exceptional place to learn and grow.
The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs. You will work alongside experienced teachers and other professionals to deliver a personalised curriculum, ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed. This is a temporary position with working hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one and small-group support to pupils with complex learning needs.
* Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support each pupil\'s development.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans.
Requirements
* A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
* Experience working with SEN is essential.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting children with special educational needs are preferred.
