Job overview:
We have an exciting opportunity in our Platform Engineering team for a Platform Network Engineer to join us. You’ll focus primarily on creating, designing and delivering networking solutions across our hybrid cloud environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing consultancy to development teams across on-premise and cloud environments on technical security and compliance, network architectural mentorship and proof of concepts using Azure PaaS and other services
* Leading and validating the design and development of secure standards to support application and infrastructure components, both internal and external facing, with a strong focus on auditable compliance
* Ensuring solutions are developed in line with strategic target architecture from an application design and infrastructure/platform perspective
* Partnering with solution architects and global product management to define standardised solution and services baselines to meet strict security targets and converging platform principles
* Demonstrate innovations through prototyping and proof of concept work
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the Enterprise Information Architect, Solution and Enterprise Architects as well as delivery teams
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience:
* Strong experience of implementing networking solutions in an infrastructure as code driven automated environment
* Passion for developing best practices and good understanding of Azure best practice design principles
* Expertise with hybrid network models and enterprise integration patterns
* Experience of coding for infrastructure across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
* Up to date knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends in the Azure space
* Ability to mentor juniors and peers
* Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Certified AZ-700 Azure Network Engineer Associate
