Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction activities within a highly regulated environment. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising project schedules, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and delivery milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or equivalent planning tools)
* Integrate multiple workstreams into a single, coherent programme
* Monitor progress against plan and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
* Identify risks, delays, and opportunities, and support mitigation strategies
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate planning inputs
* Produce reports, dashboards, and forecasts to support decision-making
* Ensure planning standards and procedures are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle
* Support change control processes and assess schedule impacts
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Planner within major engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
* Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential)
* Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas, or similar)
* Understanding of project controls, earned value, and risk management principles
* Ability to manage complex schedules with multiple stakeholders
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable:
* Previous experience on large-scale, multi-disciplinary programmes
* Familiarity with mechanical, piping, or process systems projects
* Relevant project management or planning qualifications
