Job description: We are seeking an experienced Poultry Charge Hand to join our site located just outside Beccles. This role involves working as part of a small team to ensure the welfare of the birds. The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude; be reliable; and have the ability to work efficiently both within a team and on their own. This role is working 6 days a week, including weekend work on a rota. Previous experience in the Poultry industry is essential. The position offers steady employment with opportunities for further skill development. Duties • Preparing sheds for arrival of the chicks • Daily welfare checks of the birds • Refreshing bedding • Sorting and grading • One night check per week Qualifications • Prior experience in poultry is essential • Must be NVQ Level 3 Qualified • Basic Maths and English skills. • Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment. • Willingness to follow strict bio-security and health & safety guidelines at all times.
