Feel Good Suffolk is an exciting collaboration across Suffolk with the aim of empowering clients to take control of their health and wellbeing with health improvement changes such as weight management, increasing physical activity levels, and stopping smoking.
As a Feel Good Suffolk Advisor specialising in physical activity, you’ll receive and process referrals, undertake initial triage, plan and deliver group sessions, and lead 1:1 appointments.
You’ll be based in Ipswich, providing physical activity support to adults face-to-face in community venues through the delivery of group exercise sessions, and on a 1:1 basis both in person and by telephone to provide healthy lifestyle advice.
What you will need:
The post holder will have a strong understanding of health behaviours and experience of working with people to make positive changes to their lifestyle. The candidate will have experience of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds with differing levels of needs and balancing casework, and have knowledge and experience in physical activity delivery for those with long-term health conditions.
The candidate will be organised and able to work flexibly with a variety of audiences, and be a strong communicator with proven active listening skills and a motivational attitude.

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday. This role requires flexibility to travel to venues across Ipswich and the ability to work some evenings and weekends to meet service need.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
