About the role:
In this role you will manage a team of actuaries and project managers developing further and overseeing the regional financial reporting activities to the LH1 Management team. You will be responsible for building a new team, and coordinating activities of the LH1 Finance Business Partners and projects in the mandate of the LH1 Finance director function in the wider LH1 region. Your team will be a key contributor to delivering transparency on result contributions in the markets and providing steering impulses to the Head of LH1 and his management team. The role could be located in any of the three LH1 hubs and will report to the LH1 Finance Director.
Your Job:

* Business and Expense Planning
* Forecast and Early indication
* IFRS17/9 reporting
* SII and VBM
* HGB
* Enabling LH1 management to make and assess strategic decisions based on consistent reporting and monitoring of results in the above metrics
* Developing new KPIs to plan and monitor return on investment of business initiatives
* Coordinating and developing further the Finance Business Partner function for the three hubs in LH1
* Developing and maintaining Service Level Agreements for LH1 Finance with non LH1 functions
* Leading LH1 wide finance initiatives and projects involving Accounting and Business functions
* Supporting Cluster Management activities for the LH1 IT cluster
* Providing guidance to business and valuation teams regarding inforce monitoring, liquidity and retrocession management as well as other activities with impact on financials
Your Profile:
* University degree in mathematics, actuarial science or a similar qualification with a strong quantitative focus
* Actuarial qualification (e.g. DAV, FIA, FCAS or equivalent) from an internationally recognized body
* Several years of professional experience with financial reporting processes and projects
* Strong leadership skills, willingness to assume responsibility, adhesion to the Munich Re leadership values and ability to continuously work on own development
* A talent for managing interfaces and building networks
* Outstanding conceptual, analytical and communication skills and a pronounced willingness to innovate, drive change, and clear obstacles
* Strong presentation, communication, consulting and conceptual skills
* Convincing, confident and engaging personality, strong customer focus and solution-oriented
* Strong command of spoken and written English
