Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our newly created Care for service, as a Social Worker. You will have a caseload supporting cared for children, of which a proportion will be unaccompanied asylum‑seeking children transferred to our area via the National Transfer Scheme or who may have spontaneously arrived in North Tyneside. We take corporate parenting responsibilities seriously and aim to provide stable homes, opportunities to achieve and nurturing support as children move into adulthood. You will be committed to promoting the voice of the child and advocacy, care planning and quality transition planning to enable cared children to thrive and reach their full potential. Responsibilities
 * Manage a caseload supporting cared for children, including unaccompanied asylum seeking children transferred via the National Transfer Scheme or who have arrived in North Tyneside.
 * Promote the voice of the child and advocate for their needs, contribute to care planning and quality transition planning to enable children to thrive and reach their full potential.
 * Work as part of a dynamic, experienced team that aims to achieve outstanding outcomes for children in care and contribute to safeguarding and nurturing support.
 * Embed Signs of Safety, relational, strengths‑based and trauma‑informed approaches in practice.
