Join to apply for the Payroll Data Administrator role at GXO Logistics, Inc. at the ASOS site in Barnsley. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00.
Do you have a passion for data with a focus on payroll? This role blends payroll processing with data management to support the smooth delivery of payroll while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
What you’ll do on a typical day
* Producing reports and dashboards using Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data Models)
* Supporting weekly and monthly payroll cycles, including overtime, absence, and holiday records
* Support statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP), HMRC forms, and compliance reporting
* Implement and maintain payroll trackers, spreadsheets, and databases for accurate monitoring of pay, attendance, and absence data
* Maintain accurate payroll data across HRIS and Time & Attendance systems
* Respond to payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
* Auditing and cleansing data to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance

What you need to succeed at GXO
* Strong administrative experience, ideally in payroll or data-heavy roles
* Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting)
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, analytical mindset
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication
* Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and experience with HRIS or Time & Attendance systems is a bonus
