We are seeking dedicated and engaging Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant primary school communities across the North Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in the early stages of children's education, helping them to build foundational skills and thrive.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience: A minimum of 3-6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK school settings (specifically Nursery and/or Primary, with a focus on KS1 being a strong advantage).
* Willingness to Train: A willingness to attend and complete Team Teach training (provided as part of your induction, if not already held). This is important for supporting children safely and effectively.
* Commitment: A dedicated and reliable individual looking for full-time, long-term work. While initial placements may be day-to-day, our aim is to secure you consistent, long-term positions within our partner schools.
* Working Hours: Ability to commit to full-time hours, typically 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time.
* Passion for KS1: A genuine desire to support children aged 5-7 (Years 1 & 2), assisting with literacy, numeracy, and overall development.
* Key Qualities: Patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, adaptability, a proactive approach, and a positive attitude.
Your Role Will Involve:
* Providing in-class support to pupils in Key Stage 1, individually or in small groups, under the direction of the class teacher.
* Assisting with the implementation of lesson plans and supporting children with their learning activities across various subjects.
* Helping to create a positive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.
* Supporting classroom management and promoting positive behaviour among young children.
* Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and displays.
* Liaising with the class teacher regarding pupil progress and any observations.
* Supporting children during independent work, group activities, and play.
