We require Process Operator to cover an existing workload within United Utilities, site based in various locations around the Cumbria (including Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal & West Cumbria).

Role purpose and responsibilities:
* We’re looking for someone hands-on, team focused individual to help keep our wastewater treatment sites running smoothly.
* Based on site, you’ll carry out essential tasks across a number of treatment sites, helping us meet important environmental, safety and customer standards.
* From taking samples and readings to cleaning and routine checks, your work will play a key part in protecting public health, the environment, and the communities we serve.
* Key accountabilities include carrying out day-to-day operational and maintenance tasks across wastewater treatment processes.
* Helping ensure our sites meet environmental regulations and performance targets.
* Taking a hands-on approach to both planned and reactive work.
* Adapting to change tasks and priorities as needed.
* Carry out routine checks, inspections, and maintenance tasks across operational sites.
* Support with investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions where required.
Essential skills required to be successful in the role:
* A full UK driving license is required.
* Worked in a related industry with similar operational environments and technical demands.
* Knowledge of environmental output standards, compliance requirements, and procedures.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
* Able to always follow processes and work safely.
* Comfortable working in a physically active, hands-on role.
* Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* A flexible approach to work changing tasks and priorities.
* Willingness and ability to work towards an accredited qualification relevant to the role.
