Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Berkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support. The role focuses on 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work 1:1 with learners to raise engagement and improve their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support will be targeted at educational and social-emotional development; learners are referred by local authorities and schools
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring session
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and progress educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK residence and right to work
* You must be able to work in a way that promotes health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies
Employment Status
* Engage with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* Work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work you do for us
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
