This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join the team in the Oxford Eye Hospital, as Directorate Manager for Ophthalmology.
The Directorate Manager (DM) in conjunction with the Clinical Director (CD) and Matron will be responsible for the operational management of services across the Ophthalmology Directorate. Working across organisational boundaries to make a positive contribution to the Trusts corporate objectives and contribute to shaping the future healthcare across the local economy.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide high level leadership and strategic direction in conjunction with the Clinical Director. Responsible for delivery of key performance indicators, financial balance, the development and implementation of service improvements and engaging with teams to ensure best quality care is provided.
The post holder will also be responsible for leading and delivering success across a number of key programmes within the Ophthalmology Directorate. These programmes will be vital in ensuring the Directorate can deliver its primary objectives and targets over the coming years and will encompass a wide range of topic, including productivity and efficiency, quality, workforce and clinical effectiveness.
