Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the Dumfries Specialist Eating Disorders Service, working as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a small number of patients referred to the service for support and treatment of their diagnosed eating disorder. This includes providing advice, training and support to medical and nursing staff to implement safe and effective evidence‑based interventions and treatments specific to eating disorders.
The post holder will work with colleagues from Mental Health and the Acute & Diagnostic Services to support and further develop the Specialist Eating Disorder Service, patient pathway and staff development to enhance patient recovery and ensure robust mental‑health treatment and support.
Working Schedule
Safe Thursday 9‑5 pm role, with no shift requirements. One day per week will be spent working within Dumfries CMHNT, which will be a Monday or a Friday.
