The Opportunity:
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic English Graduate to join a high achieving secondary school in Islington as an EnglishTeaching Assistant. You'll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in English lessons. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
Your Role Will Involve:
* Assisting teachers in delivering engaging English lessons
* Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
* Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
* Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts
* Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in English or a closely related subject
* A genuine interest in working with young people and in education
* Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work
* A confident communicator with good organisational skills
* A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
