Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health team at Gatwick IRC, located in Gatwick. The Mental Health Clinical Lead will support mental health services, assist GPs, and work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to provide advanced clinical practice and leadership.
Hours
37.5 hours per week; Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑16:00.
Salary
£53,938 – £59,677 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
* Work as part of and lead the Mental Health team within the Integrated Healthcare Services team.
* Provide clinical leadership and management to registered nurses and allied health professionals.
* Establish inter‑agency working where necessary to ensure good communication increases quality of care for patients.
* Ensure own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Based on the Wellbeing Approach and Practice Plus mental health policy, provide nursing triage, screening and assessment.
* Actively participate in development of local operating procedures to ensure pathways are clear for clinicians.
* Ensure all complaints/concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
* Nurse lead treatment or care within mental health.
* Confirm waiting list are well managed ensuring minimal waiting times for patients.
* Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration.
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse – NMC registration.
* Experience of providing supervision.
* Teaching / mentoring experience and/or qualification.
* Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge and competence.

* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
