About The Role
Do you have experience in delivering exceptional events? Do you have a flare for building relationships across an organisation and managing multiple projects? Would you like to contribute to the UK’s leading dementia charity by leading a diverse portfolio of events that inspire and engage?
We are recruiting for a Special Events Manager to join us on a fixed 12 month contract. This is a home-based role, though you will need to travel for events as required and be willing to travel to our flagship London office.
As the Special Events Manager you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a diverse portfolio of high value engagement and income-generating events – from intimate cultivation experiences to larger stewardship events. You will take ownership of all aspects of event logistics, ensuring exceptional attention to detail. Working closely with high value fundraisers across Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy and Legacies, you will design events that inspire, engage and deepen long term relationships with major donors, corporate partners and representatives from trusts and foundations.

2. Strong relationship builder with experience of managing multiple complex projects at once
3. Be a creative thinker who can think beyond existing parameters and processes to find new ways to engage our audience and amplify our events.
4. Work collaboratively and be able to prioritise your workload effectively and remain solution focussed throughout your areas of work.
5. Be motivated by delivering truly transformational positive impacts for those affected by dementia, and you will learn how to weave this pivotal impact into every piece of work.
What you’ll focus on:
6. Planning and delivering engaging events that connect with our high value audiences and meet agreed objectives, using insight and creativity to maximise impact.
7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal colleagues, partners, and stakeholders while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

9. Leading and supporting others by sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practice through strong internal networks.
10. Embedding meaningful impact for people affected by dementia into every piece of work, ensuring activities are purpose-led and outcomes-focused.
