1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant / Early Years Learning Support Assistant - SN4
Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life? My client is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support an EY pupil with special educational needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to positively impact the child’s learning journey while working closely with a supportive school community and SENDCO. The position is on a fixed-term contract, working Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing 1:1 support to an EY pupil, ensuring their safety and engagement throughout the school day.
* Building a strong rapport with the child and supporting them in managing challenging behaviours.
* Designing and delivering creative, engaging activities aligned with the child’s needs and school topics.
* Collaborating with the EYFS team, SENDCO, and external professionals to follow best practices and adapt strategies.
* Modelling effective communication and desired behaviours in a safe and nurturing environment.
* Communicating with parents/carers and staff to ensure holistic support for the pupil.
About You
* Ability to perform the duties as described.
* Experience working with children with social and communication needs or SEND.
* Calm, patient, and confident in handling challenging or avoidant behaviours.
* Reflective, enthusiastic, and eager to try innovative ideas to support learning.
* Committed to the school’s Christian values and willing to undertake relevant training to enhance your skills.
