Role: Hydraulic Field Service Engineer
Location: Field Based - South East
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience + overtime
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our growing service team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of plant equipment at customer sites. This is a hands-on position that requires strong diagnostic skills and experience working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, service, and repair plant machinery at customer sites and occasionally within the workshop.
Fault-find across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing.
Respond to breakdowns and provide effective on-site solutions.
Complete service reports, maintenance records, and documentation accurately.
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Experience working with construction or plant equipment (e.g., excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, or similar machinery).
Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or a related discipline.
