Externally based, the role purpose is to establish Brett Martin’s rooflight systems in the specification sector across the flat roofing market within the construction industry. Brett Martin is a leading manufacturer of high-quality rooflight systems, offering a complete solution for the construction industry. With a choice of bespoke and modular designs, our wide range of rooflight systems offer flexible solutions to bring any design concept to life.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specification Sales Manager to join our team and build demand for our commercial product range. As a Specification Sales Manager for commercial rooflights, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our products to architects, specifiers, contractors, and other key decision-makers within the construction industry, supporting projects from cradle to grave. You will utilize your strong technical knowledge, industry expertise, and consultative sales approach to drive business development and achieve sales targets.
About The Role
Sales Strategy and Business Development
Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy to increase the adoption of Brett Martin’s rooflight products in the South region.
Identify, pursue, and convert project opportunities through market research, Barbour ABI, and relationships with key stakeholders.
Present engaging and tailored CPD seminars for specifiers and architects.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials aligned with regional needs.
Technical Expertise and Product Knowledge
Maintain a deep understanding of Brett Martin’s rooflight systems, including features, benefits, and industry applications.
Provide technical support and specification guidance to architects and contractors, assisting with NBS specifications where required.
Stay informed about industry regulations, building codes, and market trends affecting rooflight solutions.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, specifiers, contractors, supply chain managers, and other key stakeholders.
Conduct site visits, technical presentations, and on-site training as necessary.
Attend regional and national trade shows, networking events, and conferences to showcase products and foster new connections.
Performance and Reporting
Achieve and exceed sales targets, specifications, and conversion metrics.
Accurately maintain records of specifications, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM systems.
Prepare and deliver monthly reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and upcoming opportunities to the Head of Specification.

* • Excellent relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
* • Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays.
