Hayley Dexis has an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic and motivated IT Service Desk Analyst Apprentice

to join our well-established and experienced IT Team based at our HQ in Halesowen. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive an Apprentice level starting salary of £16,000.

About the Service Desk Analyst Apprentice

Ever wanted to learn how to provide technical support to others? Well, you are in the right place

We're looking for our next IT Service Desk Analyst Apprentice.

You'll love to solve problems, getting to the root cause of issues whilst providing friendly and excellent customer service.

This opportunity provides hands-on experience and structured training to help you successfully complete your apprenticeship and launch your career in IT.

You'll grow in confidence and customer service skills and learn how to prioritise your workload.

We'll grow your systems experience with on-the-job learning and training on Microsoft Office/M365 and helpdesk systems. You'll also get the opportunity to be involved in real-world IT projects.

Working Hours & Arrangements:

This is an office-based position working onsite

Apprenticeship will be onsite 4 days per week and attend college 1 day per week.

Hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday typically working 8:30am – 5:30pm

Candidates will need to be able to get to work for 8:30am and live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Key responsibilities

* Provide IT support via phone, face-to-face, and electronic communications
* Investigate and log incoming issues with accurate detail
* Escalate unresolved incidents to appropriate support teams
* Assist with software and hardware troubleshooting
* Maintain records through our service desk system

What we're looking for.

* A keen interest in IT and technology.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* No prior experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Logical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.
* Well presented and enthusiastic about building a career in IT

The recruitment process.

Process;

* Initial Screening – Ongoing throughout advertising window.
* Online Testing - - Invite by 9th October – Completed by 12th
* Teams / Video Interview with our Talent Acquisition Partner – 15th Oct
* Face to face final stage interview – 23rd October

Interviews will be held at our Halesowen offices.

Candidates selected for final stage interview will be asked to prepare for an interview lasting 1 hour focused on skills, knowledge, experience and motivations. There will also be an in-tray exercise.
