About the role
This position of the IT Systems Engineer is to provide support, development, and configuration to Draegers enterprise infrastructure and business services while effectively supporting the IT Systems Manager and Dräger’s corporate business strategy.
The key duties are:
1. Ensure the integrity and security of data and services is maintained across the group infrastructure including, but not limited to Anti-Virus, Patch Management, Disaster Recovery and Data Security.
2. Identify best practice technical standards, processes and policies that will support the delivery of a robust and fit for purpose infrastructure to support the overall business direction.
3. Analyse the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
4. Contribute, implement, and support the technical delivery of projects across Draeger UK and Ireland in order to support technical, commercial and business goals.
5. Support group initiatives and projects including liaising with system managers and systems engineers within Dräger global to ensure projects and tasks are effectively completed in line with corporate standards.
6. Managing, maintaining security, and providing 2nd and 3rd line support to the UK network and infrastructure including (but not limited to) Manufacturing, Operations and R&D.
7. Entering accurate technical and non-technical information into the IT Servicenow platform and knowledge base in line with agreed processes and quality standards. Ensuring RFCs are completed for all changes planned and implemented.
8. Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in relation to technical standards and services across Draeger including IFUs and SOPs.
9. A logical approach to incidents, looking for innovative ways to restore service to colleagues and customers as soon as possible in order to meet our business SLAs.
10. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to colleagues within Draeger via multiple channels, including but not limited to direct contact (outbound), email, telephone and web.
11. Provision of technical support utilising scripts, internal knowledge base, and experience to ensure as many incidents are resolved as possible at first contact.
12. Contribute to successful completion of audits and accreditations.
13. Liaise with suppliers to ensure appropriate and cost effective solutions are purchased and deployed.
14. Provide out of hours support for critical issues involving infrastructure related incidents.

Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
20. A degree in an Information Technology related subject however this can be substituted by comparable professional experience
21. ITIL Foundation desirable
22. MCP, MCTS, MCITP desirable
Related Experience
23. Technical experience across a range of infrastructure and applications at 2nd and 3rd level.
24. Experience of working in an enterprise IT environment is essential
25. Experience in a production environment is desirable
26. Experience with Cisco networking
27. Cisco ASA and Palo Alto knowledge desirable
28. Experience with VMWare
29. Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems
30. Experience of working within an ITIL framework is desirable

31. Driving License
32. Willingness to travel within UK as well as within the business region
