We have an exciting opportunity for a Quarry Operative to join our growing team at Minffordd Quarry, near Porthmadog, North Wales. This role is based in a control room environment and involves supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and provide cover for the Asphalt Batching Plant, Crushing Plant, and Weighbridge.
* Carry out associated administration tasks using IT systems.
* Ensure all activities are conducted in line with safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
* Assist with day-to-day site operations, including maintenance and operation of the asphalt plant.
* Promote a strong safety culture by setting a positive example.
* Operate systems and equipment as per company procedures.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A commitment to world-class safety standards.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with drivers and colleagues.
* Experience in a similar role and knowledge of general plant maintenance (advantageous).
* A valid driving licence.
* A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
