Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff/waiting on member to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our establishment, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional guest services while ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include serving beverages, running food to tables, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the bar/kitchen area. The ability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays such as Christmas, New Year, Easter, Mothers/Fathers Day and bank holidays is essential.
Duties
* Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Provide excellent guest experiences by engaging with customers, taking orders, and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
* Assist with food preparation as required, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
* Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
* Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations between the bar and kitchen areas.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong guest service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
* Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently.
* A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills related to food and beverage service.
