This long-established, family-run business is based in the West Midlands and has over 30 years experience in domestic and commercial electrical installations. Accredited with NICEIC & MCS, it is known for delivering high standards and excellent customer service.
With plans to expand further into the renewables sector
including solar PV, battery storage systems, and EV charge point installations
the business is now seeking a qualified electrician to join its growing team. The ideal candidate may be newly qualified and keen to develop in this exciting area, or an experienced professional looking for a fresh challenge.
Full hands-on training, personal support, and funded technical qualifications will be provided following a successful probation period.
What we need from you:
You will be a fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation) + AM2
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (latest version)
You must have your own tools
Valid ECS gold card and/or relevant industry certifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team
Full UK driving license (required for travel to sites)
Desirable:
2391 Testing and Inspection qualification
Previous experience in solar PV, battery storage, and EV
Previous experience in both domestic and commercial installations
What the role involves:
Working across both domestic and commercial sectors, the role includes a wide range of responsibilities:
I nstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in domestic and commercial settings
Carry out electrical testing and inspection in line with current regulations (e.g. BS7671), for both domestic and commercial installations
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, providing effective solutions
Install, service, and maintain Solar PV systems, Battery Storage units, and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points across domestic and commercial premises
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional standards on all jobs
Accurately complete all documentation, including test certificates, maintenance records, and job reports
Salary:
£36,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
Hours:
40 hours per week, plus overtime.
