Job Summary
We are a CQC regulated complex care company that provides TDDI nursing and complex care services at-home for all ages.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team to provide care for a young adult client with severe needs.
The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, engaging in therapy activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The HCA will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
* Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
* Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
* Assist with mobility and transportation, including driving clients to appointments or social events.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any concerns to the relevant healthcare professionals.
* Employ behaviour management techniques as necessary to support clients with challenging behaviours.
* Perform light housekeeping duties as required to maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
* Participate in case management meetings to discuss client needs and adjustments to care plans.
Requirements
* Care certification
* Experience with moving & handling
* Experience with restraints
* Previous experience working in at-home complex care
* Previous experience working in senior care, dementia care, or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable.
* First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* A valid driving licence is preferred

Pay: £12.50-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week
