A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Engineering Manager to join one of the UK best consultancies on one of the biggest defence/Nuclear projects has become available. This will be an amazing opportunity to lead the design and delivery of facility solutions, ensuring functional, safety, and licensability requirements are met across the lifecycle of the project. \n\nJob Title - Engineering Manager\nLocation - Reading 3 days a week\nContract Length - 12 months\nPay Rate - Up to £70 per hour\n\nNuclear Engineering Manager Key Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities:\n\nProvide and deliver integrated facility design solutions and ensure designs meet safety, quality, and performance requirements.\nAdvise on engineering resources and manage design changes and maintain design configuration control and support project phases from tender to handover.\nLead engineering on projects, ensuring quality, safety, value, and schedule.\nLeadership over construction, commissioning and engineering processes. \nAdvise on engineering requirements and recommend budgets and schedules.\nOversee the design process, ensuring it aligns with business and functional needs and drive improvements in the Facility Design capability within the team.\nAct as the main point of contact for engineering-related matters.\nEssential Requirements/Skills:\n\nHNC/D qualifications.\nExperience delivering multi-discipline design packages.\nAbility to act as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations.\nStrong background in engineering plant/systems (e.g., process plant, utilities, building services).\nExperience with HAZOP, regulated environments, and project lifecycles.\nKnowledge of nuclear site licences (LC19, LC20, LC22) and CDM 201\nPlease note that this role will require nuclear security clearance. \n\nIf this role is of interest and suitable for you, please apply or contact me via (url removed) or call on (phone number removed)
