ABOUT THE ROLE
M-Sport UK is a world-leading motorsport team responsible for the design, build, and running of championship-winning rally cars and high-performance vehicles across the globe.
We are looking for a Yard Operative to support the day-to-day running of our site, ensuring that our operations are smooth and efficient. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operations, perfect for someone who enjoys practical work in a fast-paced environment.
The role and responsibilities include:
* Safely loading and unloading event equipment, tools, and supplies from trucks and storage facilities, ensuring secure transport and handling of all items.
* Performing regular and basic maintenance checks on various vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and comply with safety standards.
* Promptly reporting any maintenance issues to the Transport Manager.
* General driving duties locally and nationally, including airport runs, collecting and delivering parts.
* Professionally moving trucks and other large company vehicles within and outside the company premises for road tests and in preparation for events.
* Maintain accurate records of equipment and tools, ensuring they are sorted and maintained properly.
* Keep the site and related facilities clean and organised.
* Assist with event set-ups and other operational requirements as needed.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* A full and clean UK driving license. A HGV license is highly advantageous but not a compulsory for the right candidate.
* Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure.
* A proactive team player who communicates effectively and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to adapt working hours to meet business operations, in accordance with applicable regulations.
* Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy loads.
Preferred Experience:
* Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or logistics environment.
* Forklift license is desirable, but training can be provided.
