Role Name :Lab engineer/Labware EngineerOnsite :5 Days/week (Mandatory)Location: Stevenage, UKKey responsibilitiesAssist in maintaining existing computer infrastructure of 5000 Lab Environment PCs globally.Image/Onboard new computers into the domain and onto the network.Secure and protect new and existing hardware.Consult with the business as they require assistance with their equipment.Troubleshoot and implement data flows for scientific instrumentsTechnical skills:Outstanding computer troubleshooting skills for obscure issues, ranging from device connectivity, network issues, and laboratory software issues.Background with End-user Computing or Desktop Support skills essential. Break/Fix consists of 80% of a Lab Engineers workload.Understanding of Networking concepts, such as network topography, VLANSs, Static/Dynamic IPs, Subnetting, IT/OT Networks, and basic understanding of firewalls. Candidate should be familiar with the OSI model and how to troubleshoot different network layers.Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory required.AGILE ways of working necessary.Background with computer securityPrevious experience with validated systems (GxP) a plus.Familiar with ticketing systems such as Service-Now a plus.Microsoft Excel skills a plus.Business Analyst experience would be a bonusPersonal Skills:Must have outstanding communication skills.Candidate must be a team playerSelf-starter, attention to detail and willingness to learn new things a must.Must be willing to follow documented processes and procedures.Excellent organizational skillsTPBN1_UKTJ
