Fundraising Coordinator (Part-Time, Fixed Term)
* Location: Sheffield (Hybrid – up to 50% remote)
* Hours: 15 hours per week (0.4 FTE)
* Pay: £16,000 (FTE £40,000)
* Term: Fixed-term, 12 months
* Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
About Us
SYEDA (South Yorkshire Eating Disorders Association) is a long-established charity supporting individuals affected by eating disorders and disordered eating, along with their families and friends. With over 30 years of impact, we deliver therapeutic services and professional training across South Yorkshire to raise awareness and improve understanding.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and strategic Fundraising Coordinator to help grow and diversify our income. This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for developing and delivering a sustainable fundraising plan aligned with our mission.
You’ll lead on building corporate partnerships, creating engaging fundraising opportunities for individuals, and strengthening relationships with local businesses, trusts, and grant‑makers. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll ensure fundraising is embedded in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver an effective fundraising strategy
* Build and manage corporate partnerships and community fundraising initiatives
* Identify and secure funding from trusts, grants, and local businesses
* Create engaging fundraising campaigns aligned with SYEDA’s values
* Collaborate internally to integrate fundraising across services
* Monitor performance, budgets and impact of fundraising activities
About You
Essential
* Proven experience in a fundraising role
* Experience developing and delivering fundraising plans or strategies
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
* Good analytical and budgeting skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Commitment to organisational values
* Familiarity with the Code of Fundraising Practice
Desirable
* Presentation and pitching skills
* Understanding of eating disorders and their impact
* Knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles
